Contents
Per 1,000 mL Hydroxyethyl starch (HES 200/0.5) 60 g, Na 154 mEq, Cl 154 mEq, (NaCl 90 g). Osmolarity: 308 mOsm
Indications/Uses
Therapy & prophylaxis of hypovolemia. Hemorrhagic, traumatic, septic & burn shock, injuries.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Prophylaxis of vol deficiency & shock (vol substitution therapy) 1,500 mL/75 kg/day. Normally 500-1,000 mL/day. Hemodilution therapy 500 mL/day (medium dose).
Contraindications
Bleeding (hemorrhagic) disorders, cardiac insufficiency, renal failure, hyperhydration states.
Special Precautions
Blood coagulation disorder, heart failure, lung edema, renal failure, chronic liver disease.
Adverse Reactions
Allergic reactions (anaphylaxis).
